The major objective of Eden Produce Africa Ltd (EPA-Farm) is to transform crop production from a predominantly subsistence low input and low productivity to a fully commercialized farming business to increase the household incomes and food security.
Our goal is to achieve food security for all nations round the global and make sure that people have regular access to enough high-quality foods to live active, healthy lives and we believe that everyone can play a part to end hunger in our communities, we support and encourage all local people to grow food crops, fruits and vegetables, and like; maize, rice, cassava, sweet potatoes, beans, watermelon, sukuma wiki, green pepper, egg plate, etc.
Our services focus on projects that promotes food security, Agro-value addition, sales and marketing, information dissemination and field trainings (on-farm training) through facilitate farmers with the right knowledge of farming and technics that promotes, preserve and conserve the environment
Our services puts emphasis on inclusive Agriculture for all small, medium and large scale farmers and other stakeholders both local and international that interested to empower the sector with the right information of organic farming to enhance food and nutritional security, employment, incomes, raw-materials for industries and exports to regional and international market.
There are many agricultural challenges in Uganda and this has made Eden Produce Africa to offer unique services to our farmers. Previous farming programs would only provide a small loan to farmers – but farmers would not be able to find seeds and fertilizers (farm inputs) in their community. Even if farmers could find farm inputs, they wouldn’t know how to use them (education). Even if they could find the inputs and use them successfully, there would be nowhere to sell their surplus harvest (markets). Farmers need support in more than one area. There for eden produce Africa have packaged an action packed services to provide a solution for those starting from scratch, which include;
- Farm inputs (physical capital): We provide seeds and fertilizers
- Credit (financial capital): We provide farm inputs on credit, and we expect repayment
- Education (human capital): We train farmers on how to use these technologies
- Markets (trade): We assist farmers with selling of their yields
